Natalie Portman may be fairly well known for being pro-gun control, but there's no doubt about this – she sure does look hot toting a pistol! This past week, we were finally provided with the official trailer and release date for her new movie Jane Got a Gun and all we've got to say is that we couldn't be more excited to get watch Portman as a pistol-toting Western babe when this one hits the theaters!
According to Variety, the trailer for Portman's new movie Jane Got a Gun was released on YouTube this past Wednesday by Mars Films. In it, we get to see Portman as a rustic, wild western babe toting a pistol and in the midst of all kinds of gun-worthy action.
So what's really going on here? Well, the storyline of the film is described as IMDB as:
"Jane Got a Gun centers on Jane Hammond, who has built a new life with her husband Bill "Ham" Hammond after being tormented by the ultra-violent Bishop Boys outlaw gang. She finds herself in the gang's cross-hairs once again when Ham stumbles home riddled with bullets after dueling with the Boys and their relentless mastermind Colin. With the vengeful crew hot on Ham's trail, Jane has nowhere to turn but to her former fiancé Dan Frost for help in defending her family against certain destruction. Haunted by old memories, Jane's past meets the present in a heart-stopping battle for survival."

What makes the release of the new movie trailer even more exciting is the fact that this film has experienced quite a few hardships. Originally, Jane Got a Gun was said to be released in Aug. 2014. However, according to the Washington Post, it was rescheduled more times than we can even count, and then to make matters worse the film ended up getting dropped by it's distributor.
Although much speculation of whether or not Jane Got a Gun would ever even see the light of day was defenitely involved, the trailers official release sure does make it look pretty promising that it actually will hit theaters in Feb. 2016!
Until then, at least we can watch the YouTube trailer below to assist us all in dreaming sweet, sweet, dreams of Portman as a babe-worthy pistol toting western woman.
