After the release of 2015 Indian bilingual epic historical fiction film Baahubali, Telugu superstar Prabhas has caught the eyes of Bollywood's biggest production house. If current reports are true then the actor will play the role of a villain in the upcoming Dhoom franchise.
It was earlier reported by Bollywood Hungama that Bollywood's superstar Amitabh Bachchan and Hrithik Roshan will star in Dhoom 4. However, a source close to Mr. Bachchan disapproved the speculation. According to Indian Express, filmmaker Vijay Krishna Acharya said that no one from the YRF Productions has approached Mr. Bachchan for Dhoom 4. "We'll be announcing the film in a few weeks. Will keep you posted and will be able to give you a clear picture then," Acharya added.
According to Bollywoodlife.com, YRF head Aditya Chopra who directed films like Dilwaale Dulhania Le Jayenge and Mohabbatein saw the special screening of Baahubali along with the Prabhas and Acharya. Mr. Chopra was deeply impressed by the actor's performance. It is also being said that if Prabhas will agree to play the part then in the upcoming action thriller film, he will play the role of a villain against Jay Dixit (Abhsishek Bachcan) and Ali Akbar (Uday Chopra).
DNA India also reported that the villain of Dhoom 2, Hrithik Roshan will also have a cameo in Dhoom 4.
The source also confirmed that YRF has given a proper narration of Dhoom 4 to Prabhas and the filmmakers will soon make an official announcement of the final cast for the fourth film in Dhoom series.
The 36-years-old Telugu star Prabhas is gearing up for the second part of Baahubali that grossed $91 million against a budget of $18 million. The shooting of Baahubali 2 will begin in November and director Rajamouli plans to wrap the production in 100 days only so that they can have a bigger release in 2016.
