Perez Hilton a Daddy! 'Poppa Perez' Spills Huge Secret of his Own: It's a Boy

King of gossip, Perez Hilton, who is known for uncovering the latest celebrity scandals and juiciest secrets on his blog, has recently revealed a huge secret of his own that he's been hiding...he's a dad!

The blogger, whose real name is Mario Lavandeira Jr, spilled his baby news to his followers last night on perezhilton.com. The statement labeled "A Very Important Message from Perez" read as follows:

"Dear Friends,

I want you to hear this directly from me, right here. I am ready to announce that earlier this month I was blessed with the birth of my first child, a beautiful and healthy baby boy - with lots of hair on his tiny head! My family is overjoyed at this newest and most cherished addition. Thank YOU for welcoming PerezHilton.com into your homes, offices, classrooms, cell phones and wherever else you may read my five websites. And thank you for welcoming ME into your lives! I am so humbled to welcome this little man into my life. And I am honored and ready for the challenge of guiding him through his."

"Poppa Perez," exposed the first photo of himself cradling his unnamed son, along with the "baby blabber" shown above.

The openly homosexual blogger has given no further details yet about the birth of the child or who the mother is, only that it happened earlier this month. This is unusual for Perez, who usually never holds any information back.

The baby news comes as a shock to most, although Daily Mail did apparently capture him shopping for baby clothes back in January at a Target in West Hollywood. Most first guesses wouldn't have been that the baby clothes were for his own kin.

Nevertheless, upon hearing the surprising news, countless fans and celebrities have tweeted their kind words and congratulations at Perez, and he is very appreciative.

"Thank you again for baby well-wishes! For those asking, In lieu of gifts, consider a donation to help other kids HERE," the new dad tweeted with a link to his "Birthday Extravaganza" donation page. This "Extravaganza" is an event that will benefit "VH1's Save the Music Foundation."

An hour later he tweeted again:

"I can't stop crying! Every time someone Tweets me "Congrats Dad" or "Daddy" the tears just start streaming! #PoppaPerez."

Clearly Poppa Perez is extremely excited about adding this new addition to his family and likely relieved to disclose one of his longest-kept secrets of all-time. Hopefully the gossip blogger will clue us in soon on more juicy details about new "Baby Hilton".
