Real Housewives of New York is getting a makeover. No we aren't talking about the cast, even though there has been some shakeups in the crew this year (think Heather Thomson and Kristen Taekman's exits). It now looks like some of the star's contracts are getting a little bit of a revamp. While it was reported that the girls were banding together to get a pay raise from Bravo, the network apparently came back with a different offer. While remaining housewives Bethenny Frankel, Dorinda Medley and Carole Radziwill have all managed to get seasonal contracts, it seems that the veteran housewives, Ramona Singer, Sonja Morgan and LuAnn de Lesseps are getting a daily pay rate.
According to Radar Online, the stars will only be compensated for the days that they are in front of the camera. It is something new that the network is trying out, and the RHONY ladies are the Guinea Pigs in the experiment.

"The network is offering Ramona Singer, Countess LuAnn de Lesseps, and Sonja Morgan a daily shoot rate, which means they each would be paid only per day that they actually film," an insider explained of the situation. "They never had these type of contracts before."
"Ramona, Sonja, and LuAnn want seasonal contracts like they had before and like the other women are getting," the source continued, according to The Inquistr. "IT's not fair that the other girls are getting seasonal contracts."
It seems that the ladies aren't happy with this decision, as they are the ones that made the show the hit that it is today as they have been there since the beginning.
"A daily shoot rate it's not a contract term you give to seasoned ladies who have been part of the show since the beginning," an insider explained. "There would be [no] show without Ramona, Sonja, or LuAnn."
