'Gotham' Season 2 Ep 6 Spoilers: Twitter Reacts Cory Michael Smith, Chelsea Spack's Kringle!

Season 2 of the Batman prequel series, Gotham, continues on Fox. In last night's Episode 6, Twitter had lots to say about the shocker between Edward Nygma aka The Riddler (Cory Michael Smith) and his love Kirsten Kringle (Chelsea Spack).

In our previous recap, Selina Kyle (Camren Bicondova) had a reunion with a former childhood friend, Bridget Pike (Michelle Veintimilla). As the Pike brothers forced her to join their life of crime, Bridget discovered a gas mask and flame-thrower. Bridget slowly became the Firefly and started on a path as a cop-killer. Meanwhile, the Order of St. Dumas is coming for Bruce Wayne (David Mazouz) and Theo Galavan (James Frain) is their assassin.

In our recent recap, Selina tried to save her best friend but Bridget ended up taking a darker path. During her shootout with the police, Jim Gordon (Ben McKenzie) was unable to save Bridget as her gas tank sprung a leak, causing a massive explosion. Edward ended up confessing to Kringle that he killer her abusive ex. Edward strangled Kringle with his bare hands as she threatened to turn to the cops. While Edward held Kringle's corpse in his arms, Bridget was taken to an underground lab beneath Wayne Enterprises.

In an Interview with Collider, Smith reveals, "This is his one true love in his mind, and he's responsible for fucking it up. At this point, he's killed two people unintentionally, but it's a lot to deal with. I think he has to resolve to accept what he has done, but I don't know that he knows what that means for himself. He's a murderer, but he doesn't mean to be. He has to reconcile his truth. I don't know what it will mean for him"
