Justin Bieber decided to wear a bright yellow hat covered in spikes yesterday in London and famed writer/showrunner/co-creator of "Lost," Damon Lindelof, decided to spend the whole day tweeting about it. Despite being responsible for a highly succesful and even more confusing television drama, Lindelof is a pretty big Twitter persona, so this was not really a surprise. Plus Bieber is no stranger to questionable fashion trends, so when you put the two together, you get quite a funny story. Lindelof started the day off with the following tweet:
For all those following me, please be aware that I will be obsessively tweeting about Bieber's hat for the next NINE HOURS.
— Damon Lindelof (@DamonLindelof) February 27, 2013
Sticking to his word, the 39-year-old Lindelof spent the rest of his day coming up with numerous humorous tweets about the 19-year-old pop sensation. So sit back and enjoy a few that we have selected:
That hat looks like Pac Man wandered into the gay bar from Police Academy — Damon Lindelof (@DamonLindelof) February 27, 2013
Bieber:"How much for the huge yellow hat with spikes that looks painful?" Clerk: "Fourteen Million Dollars."Bieber:"Sold, bitch!"

Bieber's hat is like one of those plants that looks that way to protect itself from predators.

These jokes were all in good fun and Lindelof even made fun of himself by tweeting "I wish I was Justin Bieber," followed by "I am sad and alone." Clearly all jokes and hopefully the Biebs will not turn this into a Pat Carney (of the Black Keys) situation. I am not sure how he could, bu here's hoping!
To me the best part of this whole "live-tweet" of Bieber reactions from Lindelof is when someone brought up the singer's pants. Purple leopard print sweatpants, you guys. The "Lost" creator had some fun with them as well, but all in all it was still just a funny experience on Twitter. Another great story coming out of this is that people are still making fun of "Lost." Many of the media outlets covering this story are basically saying that his coverage of Bieber's outfit is a bit confusing, but Lindelof and confusion go hand-in-hand. So what do you think of the hat, the pants, and/or the tweets? Cool? Weird? Funny? Personally I think that Justin Bieber pulls off the strange hat. I mean that guy can look cool in anything. He is a pop star. It's his job to wear weird things.
