The hits just keep on coming for vegetarian rocker Morrissey. The singer made headlines after he demanded the Staples Center in Los Angeles go meatless. Then he backed out of performing on "Jimmy Kimmel Live" because the other guests were the "Duck Dynasty" guys. Now Morrissey is going after Paul McCartney, saying the Beatles legend should return the knighthood he received from the British Royal Family in 1997.

The beef between Morrissey and McCartney started after Morrissey reportedly heard rumors that McCartney was upset that the former Smiths singer's request for the Staples Center to go meatless was approved while McCartney's similar request had been turned down in the past.

Morrissey told the Hollywood Reporter, "I was amused to hear that Sir Paul McCartload (sic) was very angry that Staples had said yes to me but no to him, when really, he should be happy for any victory on behalf of the animals."

It sounds like the two singers would have a lot in common and should enjoy the fact that they both are animal lovers. Right? Not exactly. It seems that Morrissey doesn't like how the British Royal Family treats animals and since McCartney was knighted by them, he in turn is guilty.

"I know he works tirelessly for the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), but he also loves the British royals, whose treatment of animals is abysmal," Morrissey said. "The Queen herself wears enough fur to blanket most of Russia ... yet Sir Paul gives her the thumbs up! If he cared passionately about animals, he'd return his knighthood. He doesn't need the Queen's approval."

Ah, there is the reason why Morrissey is upset. It's all about the animals. Morrissey just can't stop talking about animals and his distaste for anyone who harms them. First the Staples Center, then Jimmy Kimmel and "Duck Dynasty", and now Paul McCartney and the British Royals. Who will be next? Keep checking back to Mstarz to find out.
