To create lasting change in someone's life never goes unnoticed. Raising awareness for at-risk children, Miss USA 2015 Olivia Jordan and Miss Universe 2014 Paulina Vega gave their support for the Orphaned Starfish Foundation at their recent Annual New York Gala.
According to the official website, the foundation dedicates itself to working with orphans, victims of abuse and at-risk youth. The mission of the Orphaned Starfish Foundation helps foster lasting change in the lives of the children. These children are given the opportunity to develop vocational skills through computer technology and gain employment. All of these resources will enable them to succeed and overcome their conditions.
In a previous interview with CBS, executive director of The Orphaned Starfish Foundation, Andrew Stein states that the organization has helped kids become future doctors, nurses and lawyers., "What we do is help prepare these kids for the future. We help give them vocational training and computers. We give them robotics. We give them English language skills. We give them the tools to succeed, to break the cycles of poverty and abuse."
On her Instagram wall, Vega writes, "My look for the #OrphanedStarfish gala. A great evening for an even better cause. #confidentlybeautiful #style #loveit: Idanmarinophoto"
