David Spade has been cast in the upcoming ABC sitcom pilot 'Bad Management', according to the Hollywood Reporter.

The single-camera show will follow the day to day operations of a luxury department store. Spade will play Tobias Eastmore Jr. the son of the department store's owner.

Tobias Jr. is brought in to turn the store around and decides to sexify the struggling outlet to bring in a younger crowd, which irks the egoistic manager played by show co-writer Sharon Horgan. The show will be produced by Aaron Kaplan of The Neighbors fame.

Spade is the third cast member to be attached to the show. Rachel Harris of New Girl has also committed to play department store employee Laura.

Spade signing on for another full-time acting gig doesn't bode well for his current show Rules of Engagement. The struggling CBS comedy has found itself on the network chopping block many times in its seven season run and with central cast members Spade and Patrick Warburton signing up for other programs- Warburton is producing and starring as a retired baseball player in CBS pilot Jacked Up- the future looks rather bleak for the long-running sitcom.Warburton came out and said as much earlier this year.

Right now, I think our impression is that this is it. We're all happy where we're at and we have to thank our fans for even getting here," the actor said in an interview with TVGuide.com.

What do you think? Are you excited for Spade's new show? Do you still watch Rules of Engagement?
