The Hurricanes snag the no 1 spot in the NHL Eastern Southeast Conference, and the no 13 overall spot with a 9-8-1 record (out of 30 teams). As LeBrun points out, "Sunday's win on Long Island snapped a three-game skid for the injury-riddled Canes. Hate seeing Jeff Skinner out again with a concussion." Tonight's face-off should prove a fierce battle on the ice between two of the East's best teams.
