Jennifer Lawrence has openly admitted that her recent Dior advertisements were altered and Photoshopped. The Academy Award Winner recently revealed the picture editing truth to Access Hollywood. Lawrence said, "Oh, my God, I haven't seen this. That doesn't look like me at all. I love Photoshop more than anything in the world. Of course it's Photoshop, people don't look like that."
The 22-year-old Silver Lining Playbook star has always been pretty upfront and candid during interviews, so this confession will hardly blow fans away. But what about Dior? Surely the company does not want its newest ambassador to share such information. Or maybe the use of Photoshop and other image editing programs is just an acceptable truth in today’s world of fashion and advertisement. What do you think?
But really, Jennifer Lawrence is gorgeous even without the touch ups. The following behind the scenes video proves this. We got to enjoy Jen’s Dior gowns at the Golden Globes and the Oscars (both made for some interesting events), then we were treated to the her campaign, and now we have this lovely video to see just how Jen feels about being the new face of Miss Dior (even if that face is Photoshopped). The actress shares these feelings, saying, "Dior represents beauty and strength in women and that's how I feel when I'm wearing his clothes. It just makes you feel so confident." She then adds, "Being part of something with such incredible history is an honor."
There has been a big response to Jen's Photoshop acknowledgment, especially on social networking sites such as Twitter. Fans are posting links to the stories, saying they "love her even more" for her bluntness and some are even just tweeted their admiration without links. Here are a few examples:
I love Jennifer Lawrence's to-the-point comment on her Dior campaign - "of course it's photoshop. People don't look like that."
