Reports confirm that seven young siblings who went missing from their Fresno, California home on Saturday (Feb. 23) were found safe and in the care of their estranged father (Xa Yang) after an intense FBI manhunt led authorities to his Sacramento home on Thursday (Feb. 28). Over the weekend, the siblings' blind mother was escorted to the grocery store by her husband - when they returned, all the children had vanished along with a majority of their belongings. Authorities were led to believe that all seven were abducted by a family member, so an Amber Alert was never issued since there didn't prove to be any immediate danger.

According to several reports, Yang divorced his wife and had been estranged from his family for three years. He finally wanted to see his seven children, and attempted to make contact back in December. His request was denied, and the family never heard from him again.

Yang made his move on Saturday, when his blind ex-wife made a quick trip to the store. She left all the children in the care of the eldest sibling, 12-year-old Chee Nou Yang. As the Inquisitr points out, the youngsters may have been somewhat compliant with their biological father, since "it would be challenging to abduct 7 resisting kids."

Yang was immediately a suspect, although the Fresno Police Department was not immediately able to get in contact with him. The stepfather, Bee Lor, told ABC, "We thought maybe he's probably watching and he knew we left for the store and maybe he just came over... We went and knocked doors - door by door - all around at nighttime. We thought maybe our children might play around with the friends around here, the neighbors."

That's when an FBI manhunt was launched. On Thursday, the task force was able to locate Yang and the seven missing children at his home in Sacramento. According to Fresno police Sgt. Jaime Rios, the siblings were found "unharmed and in good spirits," and finally returned to the safety of their mother's care.

Although an Amber Alert wasn't enforced, the police did issue a call to the public for help in locating Yang, since they didn't know his exact address and location.

As ABC News reports, police are currently investigating the case to determine whether a crime was actually committed. Since there was no formal custody agreement in place, Yang was within his legal right to see the children for up to 10 days as long as he kept in communication with the kids' mother.

The seven siblings were identified: Chee Nou Yang, 12; Cha Meng Yang, 11; Zia Yang, 10; Chue Feng Yang, 8; Zang Yang, 7; Tria Yang, 6; and Tou Ger Yang, 5.
