Queens, New York City rapper 50 Cent has given fans hope that there might be an original G-Unit reunion.

The rapper speaking to ESPN in an interview was asked about the possibility of a hip hop group G-Unit reunion.  The "Candy Shop" singer had earlier told shot down questions that such thing would ever happen but the 37-year-old rapper and now seems to have a mind change.

"The original G-Unit, maybe. We might do something. I'll be honest with you. Some of these new artists on the label I don't think are working as hard as they could. I don't know how hard they want to work or how much they want it. I could see the original coming back together though," 50 Cent told ESPN. Previously 50 Cent had questioned the working ethics of his fellow rapper but now he is questioning the present ones, HipHopDX reported.

The hip hop group was formed in 1999 with East Coast rappers Lloyd Banks and Tony Yayo.

50 Cent spoke about his fifth album, "Street King Immortal," that is yet to be released.  He also revealed that he had plans to go on tour after the album releases.

"'We Up' likely will be on my next CD. I'm going to hit the tour after that," he said. "Music is the reason I've been able to be a part of this brand extension. I turned down some film projects to open time to hit the road. It's like hitting the restart button."

Initially it was announced that the album would be released Nov. 13, 2012. Later another release date was issued - Feb. 26, 2013. But after delays, it has been announced by the president of Shady Records that it will be out in the first half of 2013.
