BREAKING NEWS - Rapper French Montana's tour bus was the target of a drive-by shooting following a Philadelphia concert on Thursday evening (Feb. 28). Several fans followed the "Excuse My French" star's bus to a local Holiday Inn Express after the show, when an unidentified gunman fired shots into the crowd from a passing car. One fan was shot and killed while another was hit in the shoulder with a bullet, but is expected to be okay.

The up-and-coming Maybach Music Group/Bad Boy records rapper (who has worked with big-name hip-hop/rap artists including Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj, Rick Ross, and Drake), had just performed a show at the Theatre of Living Arts in Philadelphia and was preparing to sign autographs at the local hotel. A "suspicious-looking" car then drove by, and a gunman began firing open rounds into the crowd with a machine gun. Security quickly surrounded Montana (real name, Karim Kharbouch), who was standing right outside the bus. During the quick drive-by, two fans were shot - a 29-year-old was shot in the shoulder and is expected to make a full recovery, while a 27-year-old man was shot fatally in the stomach and pronounced dead awhile later.

While very little details have yet to be released, local news outlets are reporting that 25 people are currently being questioned by the police. Three individuals were taken into custody after they were caught carrying guns.

Authorities believe that French Montana or his entourage were the specific targets of the shooting - neither of the victims were apparently connected to it. According to TMZ, "It seems to have been a beef between two groups of warring fans."

French Montana has yet to make an official statement about the tragic incident, but did post this on Instagram Thursday evening:

frenchmontana: "Nobody got time for this shit."
