Online "hacktivist" group Anonymous announced last week that they had plans to unveil the email addresses and phone numbers of up to 1,000 members of the Klu Klux Klan. And, well, it looks as if they've delivered on that promise.
It's being reported that the group, who famously hacked the CIA in the past and officially declared war on terrorists after the Charlie Hebdo massacre, has released 20 emails and over 40 phone numbers of members of the KKK throughout the country. While their initial announcement came via a press release on Oct. 28 (though they did mention it earlier), the group dropped the names on Pastebin, and then confirmed the hack via Twitter.
Their original tweet from back on Oct. 22 explained that they had indeed "gained access" to a KKK Twitter account, and thus about 1,000 names of individuals involved in the group.
We've gained access to yet another KKK Twitter account. Using the info obtained, we will be revealing about 1000 klan member identities.

And though their site claims that the names were to be dropped on Nov. 30, it appears they are ahead of schedule.
It seems that phone numbers of KKK members are on the internet. ;) https://t.co/C54dX8dp7R — Anonymous (@GroupAnon) November 1, 2015
Anonymous delivers.

Anonymous plans to unveil the full list of names this coming Thursday, Nov. 5. You can find the list currently published over at Pastebin.
Mic.com reports that the response is due to the threat of "lethal force" from the KKK unto various Ferguson protesters. The riots were, of course, in response to the killing of teenager Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri. Anonymous will unveil the rest of the names around the anniversary of the Nov. 2014 Ferguson protests.
