WWE will air the November 2, 2015 edition of Monday Night Raw from the Pepsi Center in Denver and will keep building to the Survivor Series pay-per-view on Sunday, November 22, where it looks like Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins will do battle for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. The show will air on the USA Network at 8 p.m. Eastern, but if you can't watch there, try here or here – both links broadcast free live streams of the show (this may require downloading a torrent).
Last week, Roman Reigns took a significant step into the top spot when he emerged as the No. 1 Contender to Seth Rollins' WWE World Heavyweight Championship. The entire three-hour episode last week was a thought-out and well-planned episode that started with The Authority claiming that Rollins has dominated everyone on the roster in WWE, so now someone needed to prove himself worthy of the privilege to have a match with the champion.
Cue Reigns, who scoffed at the entire premise of Rollins as a Hall of Famer and said he would earn a shot at the belt. And he did so by beating Kofi Kingston in a singles match and then defeating WWE Intercontinental Champion Kevin Owens, WWE United States Champion Alberto Del Rio and Dolph Ziggler to elevate himself to the No. 1 Contender spot. After his victory, he made a beeline to Rollins at the announce desk, looked at the title belt, locked eyes with his former friend and strutted away with confidence as if to say "I'll see you in the ring and take that title."
With John Cena taking some time off, someone on the roster must seize the reins and be the man for WWE. And fans can complain all they want, but Reigns is that man. He has improved substantially both in the ring and on the mic since the fiasco in the buildup to WrestleMania earlier this year. A feud with Rollins at this point in time wil make money, and WWE can use this chance to make Reigns someone for whom fans want to root.
It's a common trope in wrestling, but fans love to cheer for a man who keeps getting screwed in his pursuit of the title because when he does win, the victory feels earned and is even sweeter. That's a more difficult prospect with Reigns because of his appearance and his status as the heir apparent to Cena, but that doesn't mean it's a lost cause. If Reigns begins his journey to the title right now and keeps falling short, then fans would begin to join his side by the time we get to WrestleMania 32.
