Is Don Lemon's job in jeopardy? MStars News has learn that over 30,000 fed up and outraged people signed a petition to have the CNN anchor fired.
According to The Grio, the petition started around the same time Lemon was under fire for debating with legal analyst Sunny Hostin claiming that he needed to see more information on the Spring Valley High School assault that happened last week.
MStars News previously reported that Lemon told Hostin, "We don't know what happened. You weren't sitting in the room, Sunny. You don't know if she wasn't standing up. You do need to know more, and as a prosecutor, you should want to know more," after Deputy Ben Fields used hard force on a black female student flipping over her desk, dragging her across the classroom.
The video caught on camera sent outrage nationally, and as a result Fields was fired from his job. Now it seems to be a lot of people want Lemon fired for his report on the incident. Part of the petition stated:
"Mr. Lemon has failed his responsibility because he seems to forget the true essence of journalism: to present the facts and not judge, defame or antagonize. We, the people, want a journalist and an anchor that will not be afraid to accept the facts that are occurring within the African-American community and who will encourage our people the same way that person will encourage others across the board. We, the people, have no confidence in Mr. Lemon's ability to do that. Therefore, we are asking CNN to remove him from his position."
The petition didn't appear to shock his fellow co-workers at CNN. One producer claimed that his controversial comments are the reason they seem to have ratings.
"Don Lemon is in trouble again? What else is new?" a CNN producer noted. "The more he says outrageous things, the more people tune in – most people here are not surprised at anything that comes out of his mouth anymore."

MStars News wants to hear from our readers. Do you want to see Lemon fired? The Spring Valley High School assault isn't the first time Hostin and Lemon exchanged words. This summer, the anchor and analyst went at it over using the "N-word."
