Considered a front runner by most viewers of the current Bachelor season, the fan favorite Desiree Hartsock, is in the "final talks" of becoming ABC's next Bachelorette, sources exclusively tell E! News. After being unexpectedly eliminated by Sean after the home town dates, the heart-broken bridal stylist may have another shot at finding love on the networks long-running reality show and finally fulfilling her fairytale wedding dream. While nothing is official yet, E! says that their sources claim the deal with Desiree is "close" and an announcement is expected within the next couple of weeks.
The three other women from the current Bachelor season that have reportedly been in the running for the next bachelorette include AshLee (the 3rd lady left standing who Sean most recently sent home on the show), Sarah (the contestant born with only one arm) and Lesley M (the quirky girl who couldn't tell Sean how she felt). America is grateful that ABC left Tierra's name off of this list of potentials.
Before the disastrous hometown date that sealed her fate, America and Des alike thought she had an automatic rose right to the season finale of the Bachelor. However, thanks to her protective and outspoken brother who attacked Sean's character and called him a "PlayBoy," Desiree's rose seemed to become "de-petaled" at her own dinner table during the "meet the family" date. When Sean sent her home, Desiree was absolutely crushed and begged Sean to change his mind, insisting that he was making the "biggest mistake" of his life.
"I love love and I love to love," Desiree told E! at the taping for the Women Tell All special, which airs this Monday on ABC. "And I honestly I can't wait for that moment to fall in love again. And I don't know, I'm just waiting on that." When asked if we'll see her on TV again, she replied: "I live day to day and whatever comes tomorrow comes. And if it happens to be on TV, you'll see me again."
That day that she reappears on TV may be here sooner rather than later, as production for the new Bachelorette season is scheduled to begin next month.
A rep for Warner Bros. TV Studio tells E!, "We cannot comment on any rumors or speculation. We will be announcing our new Bachelorette during the After the Rose special that airs live on March 11 at 10 p.m. on ABC. It's going to be a fun show."
In other Bachelorette rumors, the lead lady from ABC's most recent season, Emily Maynard, has denied recent reports from Star that she's trying to win back the recently engaged bachelor, Sean Lowe, that she let go.
The report, which was featured in Star magazine, said that Emily met Sean at a Bachelor event, and told him she "regretted not having chosen him" and was "heartbroken." The report added that Sean was "thrilled" when she said that, and that even though he is currently engaged "he's acting like a single man."
Emily took to Twitter to falsify the rumors when a fan tweeted:
"Just found out @SeanLowe09 is cheating on whoever he picks on The Bachelor with @EmilyMaynard #inshock" said Twitter user @Morg on Feb. 27.
Maynard responded to the tweet with: "No need to be in shock.. Not true! Believe it or not, sometimes Star Mag isn't the most reliable source :)."
Now that Emily has cleared those scandalous rumors up, we hope that Sean and his new fiance, whether that be Lindsey or Catherine (sources are claiming Catherine) are still happily together when the highly anticipated seaon finale premieres.
