Just because 29-year-old British actor Robert Pattinson is a rather private individual, does NOT mean that the former "Twilight" heartthrob is secretly struggling with depression!
The seedy gossip webloid Celeb Dirty Laundry falsly suggests that Pattinson's rejuvenated fame is negatively affecting his mental health (and current engagement to English songstress, FKA Twigs):
As for Robert's attitude... he has returned to his love [of] privacy and maintaining a low profile. Could he be struggling with another round of depression?
And of course 27-year-old Twigs is somewhat to blame:
Perhaps the reheated interested in his career and personal life are once again taking a toll on the 'Twilight' star, as his engagement to Twigs seems to be crumbling...[Twigs] started turning their humble pub-style wedding into a baroque circus fit for her new Hollywood connections. While Twigs says she hates anything 'mainstream,' it's clear that she doesn't mind the benefits and fame that comes with being engaged to Pattinson... Could his relationship problems with FKA Twigs send Robert Pattinson into another round of depression?
Right...
Just pure suggestive nonsense!
Popular ex-girlfriend Kristen Stewart did not "ruin" R-Patz's chances at finding true love again (despite cheating with "SWATH" movie director, Rupert Sanders).
As GossipCop befittingly states in another update:
Depression is not a term to throw out unsubstantiated just for the sake of scoring web traffic. Mental illness is a serious topic, and when Pattinson has spoken about it in hindsight, he's done so with the sensitivity such a subject requires.
Like back in 2014, when Pattinson openly revealed to UK's Telegraph:
"I had a bit of a struggle at first because my life really contracted and I couldn't do a lot of the stuff I used to be able to do. But once I got through that a year or two ago I just accepted my life is something else and now I can't really remember what it was like before, So it's much easier to deal with now... [I] would love to go into therapy but it makes me too anxious. I've been talking to a lot of people about it and I don't know. I kind of like my anxiety in a funny sort of way and I like my peaks and troughs. Luckily depression never lasts long with me."
But Pattinson is thoroughly happy with his career and romantic relationship with Twigs, so stay tuned to see if any wedding details eventually develop!
