Robert Pattinson's definitely keeping busy! The 29-year-old British hearttrob's already working on a slew of new movies, and now he was just named Ambassador of the popular nonprofit childrens organization, Go Campaign.
The worldwide charity movement, first established in 2006 by Scott Fifer, promotes this mission:
We believe every child deserves the right to opportunity. Opportunity to education, to medical care, to shelter, to food and clean water, to enrichment... to a fair chance in life. GO Campaign improves the lives of orphans and vulnerable children around the world by partnering with local heroes to deliver local solutions. GO Campaign connects donors to high-impact grassroots projects aimed at changing lives and transforming communities, one child at a time.
Following the official announcement of his new partnership, Pattinson said:
"I've eagerly followed the growing impact GO Campaign has had over the years, on so many children and youth, and I love how tangible and transparent it is... They partner with some remarkable grassroots local heroes who are doing fantastic work but who lack the needed resources, and in places where a little bit of money can go a long way. I've been a donor and a supporter, and now I look forward to joining their efforts, so together we can give opportunity to even more kids and young adults across the globe" (via Contact Music).
The former "Twilight" superstar is scheduled to appear at the charity's annual gala on November 15, hosted by Ewan McGregor in Beverly Hills, California.
Meanwhile, R-Patz's relationship with finacee FKA Twigs continues going strong, despite recent break-up rumors. Are wedding bells in their new future?
Amongst other obligations, Pattinson is still filming James Gray's upcoming action flick "The Lost City of Z" in Ireland.
