Presidential candidate Donald Trump appeared as the host of last night's episode of Saturday Night Live. Unsurprisingly, the former Celebrity Apprentice lead had some controversial moments, and they began at the monologue. During the top of the show, Trump brought up his past feud with comedian Rosie O'Donnell. He noted that she was actually at the show to support him. Of course, it seems he had her confused with cast member Aidy Bryant.
Oh boy. Awkward.
Upon speaking to the fact that he doesn't hold grudges, Trump explained he's even let his issues with O'Donnell go:
"She said some things about me that were hurtful and untrue. I said some things about her that were mean but completely accurate," Trump joked. He then expressed that when he showed up to the show for rehearsal earlier in the week, "Rosie was here to support me." Then he brought her out...and it wasn't her...and it was weird.
But hilarious, of course.
Trump admitted that O'Donnell seemed like a "totally different person." And, well, that's because she was.
I am at the Saturday Night Live Studio - electricity all over the place. We will be doing a "tweeting" skit, so stay tuned!

Amazing evening at Saturday Night Live! — Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) November 8, 2015
It appears that the on-again, off-again GOP front-runner's episode was a win, as it also had a couple of surprise appearances from fellow celebs. Trump's daughter Ivanka, who often appears with him on The Celebrity Apprentice, showed up, as did Curb Your Enthusiasm star Larry David. Naturally, David reprised his role as Democratic hopeful Bernie Sanders.
After the episode, Trump tweeted his appreciation.
.@nbcsnl - So much fun last night!
