Charlie Sheen on Lindsay Lohan: 'Anger Management' Actor Says He Can Help Troubled Actress, Reaction to Lohan Cutting Dress

Sometimes help comes from the most unlikely places. Lindsay Lohan's career and personal life have been in a downward spiral for a few years now, but actor Charlie Sheen thinks he can save her. Sheen, no stranger to downward spirals himself, says Lohan can learn from his past mistakes.

TMZ caught up with Sheen, whose most recent meltdown caught the attention of millions.

"I have a kinship with somebody [Lindsay] who clearly needs a mentor, whether she wants one or not," Sheen told TMZ. "She can continue to hang out with her dress shredding club buddies, or turn to me for some advice from a guy who's been down the road as well as every other side trail on the journey."

Lohan has been in and out of court the past year and is currently facing criminal charges for allegedly lying about a car accident. In addition, her most recent head scratching move involved a Theia gown that Lohan borrowed, only to return it cut in half. Sheen actually helped Lohan get the dress by introducing Lohan to celebrity stylist Phillip Bloch.

So are there ulterior motives for the "Anger Management" star? Radar Online talked with a source who says Sheen just wants to help a fellow troubled star.

"Charlie isn't romantically interested in Lindsay at all and has no desire to hook up with her," a source told Radar. "There is no romantic interest at all - she isn't even his type and the last thing Charlie needs is more drama in his life! He simply feels bad for her and tries to help her out when possible."

The two stars met while working on the set of "Scary Movie 5" and a friendship blossomed, but can Sheen help Lohan out of her rut? If he can't it won't be for a lack of trying. The actor has been making a lot of generous offers to Lohan recently including a spot in his FX show.

"As for offering Lindsay a guest spot on 'Anger Management', that was purely done to promote 'Scary Movie 5' which they both appear in and will be released around the same time episode airs. It's just who Charlie is, he is a very giving person and she isn't the only person he has done this for over the years."

A lot of people have tried to help Lohan with her troubles and have been unsuccessful. It seems the next person to give it a go is Charlie Sheen. Although Sheen wouldn't be most people's first choice to help Lohan, it doesn't hurt to try.
