According to several trusted sources, Apple fans should expect several large releases from the iPhone producers in the third or fourth quarter of 2013 (anywhere from August to September).

KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo predicts that Apple will release a number of additions across several product lines in the second half of this year. Kuo predicts that Apple will release the iPhone 5S, a revamped design for the iPhone 5, several new laptops and desktops, a new iPad and the iPad mini 2, which will boast a Retina display.

Kuo believes that the new iPhone will contain upgraded processing power via an A7 chip, a fingerprint reader, an improved camera with f-stops of 2.0 and a smart flash. The revamped iPhone 5 may be lower cost, catering to the business strategy of Android in an attempt to snatch up customers in emerging markets such as China and India. Pipper Jaffray analyst Gene Munster claims that if Apple released a $199 smartphone into these markets, they could see sales as high as 303 million units over the next 2 years.

iPhone 6 is rumored to drop in the first quarter of 2014.

Kuo's predictions are in line with several other experts including iLounge Editor-in-Chief Jeremy Horwitz and Peter Misek of Jeffries.

The new, cheaper iPhone 5's may also be in color, according to Apple fan website Apple Bitch. The site uncovered a job posting that is looking for an engineer who can anodize aluminum (in plain English, add coloration to metal) and "help create the next generation of the world's finest electronic devices."

Apple has yet to confirm these rumors, but many of these analyists (particularly, Kuo and Horwitz) have a history of correct guesses.

What do you think? Will we be seeing new Apple products as early as the end of summer? Will you be in-line to snag a new 5S, iPad mini, iPad or colorful iPhone?

Sound off in the comments.
