The Until Dawn videogame has released gameplay footage for the PlayStation 4. Seen on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. on ABC, the Supermassive Games developers tease Brett Dalton's playable character, Mike, in the PS4 exclusive before Rush of Blood becomes available.
As we previously mentioned, eight friends find themselves trapped together on a remote mountain retreat. But these friends should be suspicious because they aren't alone. Gripped by dread, and with tensions running high, these eight friends must fight through their fear if they hope to make through the night in one piece.
As the gamer, you get play as each of the eight characters. You will experience fear like you never have before because your every decision affects them. Your actions alone will decide who survives at the end of Until Dawn. The story is written in collaboration with cult horror writer/directors Larry Fessenden (I Sell The Dead) and Graham Reznick (I Can See You).
IGN has an exclusive video of the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. actor playing the videogame alongside reporter Terri Schwartz. Dalton describes the process of being motion-captured and hearing himself while playing the game. Even though he knew the story beforehand, check out and see if the jump-scares strike his nerves.
As we mentioned before, Until Dawn: Rush of Blood has been confirmed for PlayStation VR during Paris Games Week. The demo began with with a ride inside a roller coaster car, followed by the shooting of pigs heads on stakes. Executive Producer Simon Harris of Supermassive Games confirms, "It's not DLC, or anything like that. It's its own product for PlayStation VR; it's just set in the world of Until Dawn."
Until Dawn: Rush of Blood has no release date but PlayStation VR is expected to schedule the standalone during the first half of 2016.
Until Dawn is available in stores now exclusively for the PS4.
