Eminem has recently named several inspirational icons throughout the hip-hop industry, including Naughty By Nature emcee Treach.
In Ice T's 2012 film "Something from Nothing: The Art of Rap," the "Phenomenal" rapper explains why Treach was such a huge influence during the start of his career in Detroit:
"I realized, 'This is what I want to do with my life.' Proof came over. He brought the fucking tape and my world ended. I was like, 'Oh my god. What the fuck is this?' Literally, I didn't write a rap for the whole summer."
And in a recent interview with BallerStatus during a Digital Dynasty TV exclusive, the Anthem Inc. rapper praises Shady's monumental shout-out:
"It made me feel like I did my job for a certain part of Hip Hop... When somebody comes out and they become incredibly successful and say that you were a part of their life that made them, inspired them like that, it's an honor."
Earlier this week, the renowned "Rap God" also gave thanks to Redman during a surprise chat with Shady 45:
"I was cleaning out my closet, pun intended, and ran across this old picture and sh*t. I was like, 'What the f*ck is... oh sh*t.' I realized, the first time I had ever went to New York, we actually, we went to New York and then went to Jersey, me and Bizarre went to record with the Outsidaz and somehow, I can't remember who we was in the car with, but I know Pace [Won] was with us and we had actually ended up stopping by your house. So I'm like, 'Oh, sh*t. That's the picture I took out the back window of your house on some fan sh*t.' It was like, 'Holy sh*t. That's Redman's house.'"
Will all this inspiration finally get Em back in the studio working on some new music for a potential 2016 album?
