Adele's highly-anticipated new album 25 officially hits airwaves on November 20 - and fellow pop sensation Beyonce will NOT be featured on this upcoming release. But did the "Partition" songstress really hope to record an epic collaboration with the renowned Grammy Award winner?
An alleged insider tells Heat magazine:
"Bey has been asking Adele for a year to join forces... She went into the studio with Adele at the end of last year and tried to convince her to collaborate on a track. Adele turned down the offer, so now Beyonce is putting the song on her new album instead, which everyone is saying will drop before the end of the year" (via bossip.com).
Maybe the Destiny's Child beauty will premiere the alleged track later this month, just to "one up" the 27-year-old British crooner for refusing her vocals.
Wonder if the Queen Bey's longtime "frenemy" Rihanna finds this rather awkward situation amusing? Funny enough, the 27-year-old Barbadian BadGal recently denied another tune that was originally written for Adele by Sia:
"We wrote three songs in two days and none of them made the cut, and this was one of them," the Australian songwriter explained in an exclusive interview with Ryan Seacrest. "I said to [Adele], 'Do you mind if I pitch it to, say, Rihanna?' And she said, 'Yeah, but can you take my vocal off it because I don't want my vocal floating around out there on a demo.' So I went and re-cut the vocal and everybody in my life was like, 'You can't give this away to anybody.'"
So, did any lucky singer snag a rare duet with the "Someone Like You" sweetheart? Maybe Bey shouldn't feel so offended, because looks like not...
