The CW network continues with Season 2 of The Flash. After the shocking confrontation between Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) and Zoom (voiced by Tony Todd), can the scarlet speedster handle Iris West-Allen (Candice Patton)'s "bombshell" about Wally West (Keiynan Lonsdale)?
In our previous recap, romance was in the air as Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker) and Jay Garrick (Teddy Sears) almost shared their first kiss while Barry and Patty Spivot (Shantel VanSanten) were on their first date. Harrison Wells revealed to Cisco's "Vibe" powers, the Flash was able to defeat and capture the female Doctor Light, who happens to be Linda Park (Malese Jow)'s doppelgänger. But how much is Wells keeping secret from everyone as Zoom holds his daughter hostage.
In our recent recap, Barry thought he had Zoom figured out as he setup a trap using Linda Park as Doctor Light. Unfortunately, Zoom had the upper-hand and kidnapped Linda, leading to an intense battle between the two speedsters. In a crushing blow, Zoom landed a punch into the Flash's back and broke his spinal cord. When Barry woke up from his beatdown, the scarlet speedster realized he couldn't feel his legs.
In an interview with The Wrap, The Guest actress teases, "You'll definitely see that come back into play in the next couple of episodes. It is a big bombshell and Iris really doesn't know how to process like, having a new family member, Joe having a son, whether she should tell him or not, whether she should get advice from Barry. There's a lot that she's processing."
In an interview with Variety, Patton teases that she would "love to see a doppelganger of Iris from a different earth. I would love to be evil. Iris is such a good-hearted good soul; she's the girl next door that you love, but it would be fun to play the bad girl for once."
