'The X-Files' Revival PHOTOS: David Duchovny, Gillian Anderson, Mitch Pileggi Meet Cancer Man

Back by popular demand, Fox has released new promo photos for their iconic sci-fi/horror series. In the upcoming revival of The X-Files, are agents Fox Mulder (David Duchovny) , Dana Scully (Gillian Anderson), and Walter Skinner (Mitch Pileggi) teaming up together with Cancer Man?

As we previously mentioned,13 years have passed since FBI agents Fox Mulder and Dana Scully were on the TV screen solving weird and supernatural cases. The reboot of Fox's popular sci-fi series continues with an all-new 6 episode arc. Not only are the two leads back to reprise their iconic roles, creator Chris Carter will takeover as showrunner once again for the franchise that launched his and many other careers.

According to The Wrap, two of the most important supporting players have returned. The Sons of Anarchy actor is back as Walter Skinner, who was deemed the sexiest man alive during the show's original run. Making bald men look better than ever, Pileggi has let his character mature as he rocks a grayish beard.

The mysterious Cigarette Smoking Man (William B. Davis) is back as well on the right side of the group shot. We have to ask, did Cancer Man fake his death in the series finale? Is Smoking Man actually working with the paranormal investigators this time around? Or is he plotting their downfall?

On his official Twitter account, the Aquarius actor shares one of the images and tweets, "We are more excited about Jan 24 than we look #xfiles #xfilesrevival"

In the poster, we see silhouettes of Mulder and Scully, holding their flashlights tightly. The series' main message, Trust No One, is captioned in big letters.

The X-Files returns with a special two-night event beginning Sunday, January 24, 2016, following the NFC Championship Game. The event continues Monday, January 25, 2016 (8pm).
