Nick's 'Talia in the Kitchen' Star Maria Quezada Fashionable on HALO Awards' Orange Carpet

Nickelodeon newbie, Maria Quezada of Talia in the Kitchen, hit the orange carpet on Saturday at the 2015 HALO Awards ceremony in New York City that honors young community leaders across the U.S. The up-and-coming star has made her rounds on the Nick award circuit, looking quite lady-like and may have not only impressed fans, but parents and critics too.

It seems like Quezada has found a way to balance looking like the teenager that she is with a hint of maturity. Her look is complimentary and always age-appropriate. And last night, she got it right again in a black tuxedo style velour blazer with blue sequin trimmed pockets and stately military buttons by Juicy Couture, black and what appear to be a lightly sequined, quilted and patterned French Connection pants with Rebecca Minkoff earrings and open-toe shoes.

Castmates Liam Obergfoll, Ellis Ann Jackson, Gail Soltys and Joshua Hoffman were in attendance as well. The crew gathered together to strike poses with one another, just one month after the cast celebrated the end of the season in October.

The widely popular teen soap has had a successful season as lead character, 14-year old Talia Parra's journey to live with who JustJaredJr.com calls, her "eccentric" grandmother in Miami. Once there, she finds out her family restaurant has been shut down thanks to the competitive restaurant owners on the same street. Not long after her arrival, she discovers her father's hidden magical spices, which help shape each flavorable episode. She and her best friends and unneighborly neighbors always have adventurous situations arise, but the group tries to figure out a way to live and work together harmoniously. However, often times, these relationships aren't always so harmonic.
