Brody Jenner Joins Kardashians Season 8 Cast as a Full Timer, Back to Reality TV

Brody Jenner will finally rejoin reality TV this summer! As Us Weekly reveals, Kim K's step-brother will be a "full-time" cast member of E!'s Keeping up With the Kardashians in their newest season that premieres this July!

Although The Hills star is better known by the public for his romantic associations with the original Laguna Beach girls, Lauren Conrad and Kristen Cavallari, than being a member of his famous family, fans will at last get to discover how Brody fits into the crazy Kadashian-Jenner family dynamic this season.

Brody is the son of Bruce Jenner, who is married (for now) to Kris Jenner, who is the mother of the late Rob Kardashian's children: Kim, Kourtney, Khloe, & Rob, in addition to her two younger girls with Bruce: Kylie & Kendall. This family tree entitles "brother Brody" a rightful spot in the notorious Kardashian-Jenner family tree, whether he likes it or not.

A rep for Brody tells Us he "is joining the show but may not be in every episode. It depends on the storyline." The avid surfer was spotted shooting scenes with pregnant stepsister Kim Kardashian, 32, at Barney's in Beverly Hills on Thursday, Feb. 21.

Excited for the new additions to the cast, Khloe Kardashian shared her thoughts on her Celebuzz blog saying, "I'm always excited for each new season of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, but I'm especially excited for this upcoming season because you're going to be seeing a lot more of the Kardashian/Jenner clan! My stepbrothers, Brody and Brandon, and Brandon's wife Leah are going to be on the show much more, which means an even closer look into the inner-workings of my crazy, wonderful family! Get ready people!"

Only previously appearing in 3 episodes of Keeping up with the Kardashians over the past 7 seasons (plus one episode of the spinoff Kourtney & Kim Take New York) Bruce's best-looking son will become a "permanent fixture" in this upcoming season, stated In Touch.

Last seen a few years ago on MTV's reality show The Hills, dating both Conrad and Cavallari, and his short-lived MTV reality show Bromance, Brody is back for more reality appearances, this time on E! Network.

Brody is Bruce's son from the Olympian's second marriage to pageant queen Linda Thompson. After splitting with punk rocker Avirl Lavigne back in January 2012, the Cali-native "has been chilling," a source told Us last fall. "He's trying to figure out to do with his life."

Why not "chill" on the set of KUWTK in the mean time, while earning some big bucks and getting long-overdue exposure with America's most famous family on TV?

The 29-year-old "party boy" could add more drama, different plot lines, and contribute some much needed testosterone to the KUWTK set. Although Brody and his father's relationship has reportedly not been the strongest throughout the years, working on the show together could finally help rekindle the tattered father-son relationship.

In between filming scenes for the reality show, Jenner has recently been seen surfing, beaching it, and bonding with his "mates" in Australia, according to his daily Instagram uploads. Sounds like Brody is living the dream...
