It's being reported that 86-year-old Indian-British actor, Saeed Jaffrey has died in London from a brain hemorrhage. The actor, who got worldwide recognition from his role in The Man Who Would Be King, starring Sean Connery and Michael Caine, was at his home when the tragedy happened.
Here we remember Jaffrey's best performances throughout his career.
1. The Man Who Would Be King (1975):
Jaffrey starred in the 1975 epic adventure film, The Man Who Would be King, alongside the legendary Connery and Caine. Jaffrey played the role of Billy Fish, whose dialogue, "I oft times tell Ootah about Englishmens. How they give names to dogs and take off hats to womans [sic], and march into battle, left - right, left - right with rifles on their shoulders," became quite famous.
2. The Chess Player (1977):
In 1977, Jaffrey stared in Shatranj Ke Khilari (The Chess Players) with celebrated star Sanjeev Kumar. The film was directed by worldwide acclaimed director, Satyajit Ray.
3. A Passage to India (1984):
Another breakthrough role of Jaffrey was 1984's A Passage to India, starring James Fox, Victor Banerjee and Art Malik. Director David Lean's choice of casting Jaffrey as Advocate Hamidullah, was widely appreciated.
The entire Bollywood fraternity is mourning Jaffrey's death. The Prime Minister of India, Mr. Narendra Modi, tweeted the loss of multifaceted actor:

Apart from above movies, Jaffrey was famous for roles in movies like Gandhi and Henna and Masoom. Jaffrey married his co-actress and famous travel writer, Madhur Jaffrey, in 1958, however, the couple parted ways in 1965. Together, they both have three daughters: Meera, Zia and Sakina.
According to Economics Times, he was conferred with the Order of the British Empire for his contributions to arts and drama.
