If you're looking for a deep debate over religion, well, maybe this isn't for you. However, if you're looking for a couple of smart comedians ribbing one another over their beliefs – or lack thereof – then Real Time host Bill Maher's appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert is undoubtedly what you should be watching.
Maher dropped by The Late Show last night, and after some talk in the show about the terror attacks in Paris, Maher and Colbert joked a bit about religion.
As it appears, Colbert is a practicing Catholic – but admittedly "sucks" at it – while Maher, well, doesn't believe in ... anything.
"Bill, they say at a dinner party you should never talk about sex, politics or religion," Colbert said, adding, "Have you ever been invited to a dinner party in your life?"
Maher responded to the question with a huge laugh and noted that he probably would not be invited to Colbert's dinner party, largely because the two differ on so many things—mainly religion.
"You're married and religious," Maher said to Colbert, offering a reason as to why he wouldn't be at the latter's party. To which to the Late Show host didn't fully say he's a firm God-fearing man, but admitted he does give religion "a shot" in life.
What followed was nearly two minutes of Colbert jokingly attempting to get Maher to come back to religion, as well as a rather interesting back-and-forth between two intelligent men of differing opinions regarding the subject.

So, folks, would you invite Bill Maher to a dinner party?
