Lamborghini unveiled a new $3.9 million supercar called the Veneno on Monday night at the Geneva Motor Show.
The ultra-high-end car dealer only made three of the pricy cars (one in red, one in white, one in green, the colors of the Italian flag).
"[Only building three cars] gives you a high degree of freedom in terms of the design, you can test materials and new technologies, it has a halo effect on the other products," said Lambo CEO Stephen Winkelmann. "Last but not least, you're fulfilling dreams, at least for a few people."
If you have $3.9 million lying around, don't bother. The supercar, named for a famous fighting bull, is already sold out. Two of the buyers, both American, were on hand to watch the unveiling.
The car boasts a 12-cylinder engine and a 7-speed manual transmission, along with 5 different driving modes. According to Lamborghini, the car tops out at around 220 mph and will tear up drag strips will a 0-60 time of 2.8 seconds.
The body of the car, like many speed-first roadsters, is all lightweight carbon-fiber. The front end looks like a futuristic insect with silver pincers. The "pincers" function as a wing, channeling air and increasing the downforce of the car. The back end looks like a bullet train with a spoiler. The interior is also mostly composed of carbon fiber.
Kris Singh II, one of the lucky owners, spoke with CBS about his excitement over the car.
"It's rolling artwork, it's like owning the Mona Lisa," said Singh. "I look forward to driving it."
The 3 ultra-rare editions of the vehicle are set to be assembled and delivered throughout 2013.
