'Bajirao Mastani' Movie Trailer: The Period Drama Looks Astounding Beyond Relief [VIDEO]

The first official trailer of upcoming epic drama film, Bajirao Mastani was released earlier today and with the look and feel of it, one can surely say that the period drama is going to be astounding.

The much awaited trailer of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's period drama film has finally released and it is simply exquisite. The film stars Ranveer Singh as Bajirao, Deepika Padukone as Mastani and Quantico star Priyanka Chopra as Kashibai.

According to Bollywood Life, the film is based on the epic tale of Bajirao-Mastani. The released trailer speaks of the granger for which Bhansali is famous in India. Singh stands out as a fierce Maharashtrian warrior, Bajirao. Padukone as his second wife, Mastani, is stunning and manages to look perfect as the warrior princess. At the same time, Chopra is looking simply gorgeous in her Maharashtrian avatar. 

Bhansali earlier wanted to make Bajirao Mastani with Bollywood superstar, Shah Rukh Khan but it was reported by DNA India that Khan was not comfortable in shaving his head for three months. He had prior commitments for Dilwale, Fan and Raees. In 2013, Bhansali confirmed that Singh, Padukone and Chopra would be cast in his epic period drama film.

The released trailer promises that fans of Bhansali can look forward to some brilliant performances by all the three actors. Like every other films by Bhansali, Bajirao Mastani stands out when one talks about larger than life imagery. With films like, Devdas, Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam and Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela in his basket, Bhansali surely knows how to increase the magnitude of the film. The trailer is a proof of the fact that Bhansali can keep his audience hooked and is going to give tough competition to Khan starrer Dilwale, which is, in fact releasing on the same date.
