'Hunger Games Mockingjay', 'Avenger's' Connection, Jennifer Lawrence, Jeremy Renner Related?

How much star power can one family have? Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2 star Jennifer Lawrence might have shared the screen with Avengers star Jeremy Renner in the past, as they were cast mates on the Academy Award winning film American Hustle, but is seems that screen time isn't the only thing that these stars are sharing. In fact, it has just been revealed that they are actually related.

According to USA TODAY, the 25-year-old actress is actually 5^th cousins, once removed, with the Age of Ultron star. The site is reporting that the research team at Ancestry decided to look into the lineage of the stars and found that they share a distant ancestor.

However, it seems that the connection was found completely by accident as the team revealed that they were actually looking to see whether or not there was a connection between lead stars Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson, as they both have roots in Kentucky.

"The discovery of the connection between Jennifer Lawrence and Jeremy Renner was complete happenstance," Ancestry family historian, Michelle Ercanbrack told PEOPLE.

"Later, we were researching Jeremy Renner and noticed he had a Tague family line from Kentucky, which looked familiar," the historian continued. "Once we realized Jennifer Lawrence had the same family in her tree, finding the relationship between the two was not only quick, it was really close."

Ercanbrack also talked about the similarities between the two actors, drawing on the fact that they have both played bow-and-arrow wielding superheroes in two very successful movie franchises, and that they are both extremely family-oriented.

"The similarities between the two are striking," Michelle explained, according to Refinery 29. "Both have deep Kentucky roots, both are parts of wildly successful franchises, and both play family-oriented, freedom-fighting archers."
