Angie Stone & Idris Elba Dating? Singer Claims She Passed on the Opportunity!

Who wouldn't want to date one of the sexiest men on the planet? According to singer Angie Stone, she had a chance to date Idris Elba but passed on the opportunity! SMH.

According to The Shade Room, Stone said that she could've been with the actor after she found out he had a crush on her during a past video shoot.

During an interview with Madame Noire, Stone said, "When Idris and I were working on that video, "I Want To Thank You," Idris was actually crushing on me. The sad part about it is I wasn't checking for him like that. We were very good friends, we had the same accountant, same manager, and for a very long time he made it very public that he was in love with Angie Stone and I had already been with D'Angelo."

She said she didn't understand why "these very good looking guys" were digging her but she claims that she and Elba became very close, but not in a sexual way.

Stone said she "found out that he was going on to about 20 of his homeboys" saying that the singer didn't want to hang with him. Stone said Elba was a "virgo." She said she had never been with a virgo. She claims that they are good friends today but she does have weak moments with him because she loves pretty teeth.

The singer continued, "I had already gone out there on a limb about how I would never date Idris because he's like my brother. So I had to stick to my guns. Do I regret it? Absolutely. But the one thing about it is, I have the luxury of knowing he was digging me."

Stone also touched on her drama with her daughter, Diamond. MStars News previously reported that the singer was arrested for assaulting her daughter earlier this year. The two hashed out their issues during an episode of the T.D. Jakes show.

“I think it helped us. I think it helped my daughter more in a place of trying to heal. She just wanted to be heard. I think when she let all of that out there was no place else to go." Stone said that her relationship with her daughter is in a better place now. "We’re in a great space right now."
