Demi Lovato broke some huge news this morning on New York's WBLI show "Dana and Jeffrey in the Morning" when she casually mentioned that she recently discovered she has a half-sister. Demi spends most of the interview talking about her "crazy schedule," her "banged up leg," and getting patted down while at the airport. She also got to talk about her new single, "Heart Attack." Most of the questions were about airports since Lovato happened to be calling in to the show from one, but as soon as she mentions her secret sister, the focus quickly changes to this subject.

"She's in her thirties. She's my half sister and I talked to her for the very first time in my life around when I turned 20 [in August]. I asked her, 'Why haven't you ever contacted me?' and she just said, 'Well, because I never wanted you to think I wanted anything from you. So I've just kind of been waiting to see if you wanted a relationship,' and I just thought that was so incredible."

The mysterious half-sister is never named, but it is still quite the groundbreaking story that Lovato decided to share on this radio show. She was also asked about reportedly being seen out to dinner with her ex-boyfriend, Wilmer Valderrama, on Valentine's Day. When the host asks the "Heart Attack" singer she would like to comment on whether the two are back together or not, Lovato denies to comment saying, "Some things you just have to keep to yourself." Fortunately though, the host keeps probing for any news that the singer would like to share with her fans. Demi then opens up about her newly discovered sister and seems delighted to share the news with her fans. So no news on her dating life, but her family life seems to be very exciting!
