Fans might have noticed a new side of Adele, as the UK singer has been more of an advocate for love than she ever has been in the past. While the British songstress just released her new album, she says that the album was definitely influenced by the things that have happened in her life over the course of the last couple of years, including her relationship with Simon Konecki, and the couple's baby, Angelo.
While her album 21 featured heartbreak, her latest album shows off a more lighthearted side about overcoming breakups and perhaps falling back in love, and not holding onto all the despair that a breakup can bring.
According to Us Weekly, her boyfriend inspired the tone for the new album, because she says that she didn't need to hold onto the memories of her past relationships.
"Before, I used to really get comfy in that area of despair," the singer revealed in a new interview with 60 Minutes. "But I realized how much junk there was- memories I was holding onto, and memories are wonderful, but a lot of them I don't need to hold onto."
The star also says that because of her current relationship that she has grown as a person and it has definitely influenced her.
"Being in such an amazing relationship with someone that's so there for me and so loyal and is really part of my core now, that's what made me write about everything I've ever done, because I've got his love," she explained, according to E! News. "I know that sounds a bit like I'm trying to write a Hollywood movie, but it's only because of him and because of our kid and stuff that I'm all right."
"I'm a mum, I'm a girlfriend, I'm a friend, and stuff like that," she continued, adding, "I'm ready to go into the complete new chapter of my life. ...I've grown up."
