Pirates of the Caribbean star and proud husband Johnny Depp hit the red carpet and lip locked with wife, Amber Heard at the premiere of movie, The Danish Girl, and apparently he thinks she's an amazing actress. According to E! News, he reportedly thinks that she has, "far too many amazing qualities." Beaming with pride, he bragged about his 29-year old Heard, "She's very very literate," The actor says about his wife, "She's a voracious reader as I have been so we connected on that level as well and she's kind of brilliant."
Obviously, age is just a number, since the 52-year-old thinks wifey, who plays the supporting role of a dancer friend of Lile Elbe -Germany's first transgender woman to have a sex change in the 1920's period piece - did an outstanding job and wouldn't stop complimenting her, "It's a very beautiful movie and I'm very proud of her," Depp said. "She worked very hard." And as a testament to her brilliance, he explained, "I would play a song, some old obscure blues song, and she knew what it was."
The couple met in 2011, while on the set of The Rum Diary and MStars News reported on their romance. "Johnny didn't give up - he missed her so much over the summer," a source said at the time. "They both love literature and the way he tried to win her back totally worked. Once they flew for a romantic break [in the Bahamas], they were back on as a couple. Johnny's the type to fall hard and he's vowed not to let a girl like Amber, who's beautiful and intelligent, slip through his fingers."
This past February, they finally wed at his Los Angeles estate and afterwards, he whisked his bride off to a second wedding in the Bahamas, on his secluded island, where they had previously spend some quality time. A source revealed to People, "Johnny's private island is a tropical paradise. Wedding guests were treated to an amazing weekend that evening with a romantic beach ceremony."
Good ole' pirate Johnny star has proven he is indeed a romantic character, so to speak!
