Ice Cube, Regina Hall and Nicki Minaj to star in Barber Shop 3 [Watch Trailer]

It's been twelve years since 'Barbershop 2: Back in Business' was released. Xonecole just got word that the next chapter, 'Barbershop 3: The Next Cut', will be gearing up for release very soon with a special treat, Nicki Minaj. The plot of this movie differs a bit from the previous two because Calvin (Ice Cube) and his wife Angie (Regina Hall) have combined their shops to be a safe haven where men and women are able to get their hair done.

Per usual, there is always a neighborhood crisis happening in the Barbershop series. This time around, Angie and Calvin's teenage son has taken a liking to the rough neighborhood where the shop is located. They have to find a way to rid their neighborhood of crime while keeping their son off the streets as well.

Terri (Eve) is now married to new character Jabari (Common) and he appears to be taking a liking to Draya (Minaj). This sounds very interesting because Draya appears to use her body to get what she wants. "With this hair and this booty, it's like walking out with a black amex and I never get denied." Minaj has displayed some of her acting chops in her debut film, 'The Other Women' starring Cameron Diaz; so let's see how she has grown since then.

 Some returning characters are Cedric the Entertainer, Sean Patrick Thomas, Troy Garity, and Anthony Anderson. New to the cast are Deon Cole, JB Smoove, Lamorne Harris and Tyga.

'Barbershop 3: The Next Cut' was directed by veteran Malcom D. Lee. According to Slashfilm, Lee has been tied to 'The Best Man Holiday', 'Scary Movie 5', 'Soul Men' and the latest, 'Black-Ish' series.
