'Les Miserables' Oscar Winner Anne Hathaway Pregnant with First Child

Oscar-winning Les Miserables star Anne Hathaway is making headlines with the recent announcement that she is pregnant with her first child.

Hathaway, 33, who is married to actor/producer Adam Shulman, 34, has been the subject of pregnancy rumors since the September premier of her latest film, The Intern. It seems while walking the red carpet, she was happier about more than just having worked with Robert DeNiro.

Ever since her Sept. 29, 2012 wedding to Shulman, the star has been very vocal about wanting to start a family. "Oh my God. I want to be a mother, and I anticipate loving my children quite fiercely. I think about it all the time, though it's a silly thing to think about because the kind of mother I'll be depends on the kind of children I have. I can't wait to meet them," she said in an interview with Vogue.

Apparently after winning a golden boy a few months later for the Tom Hooper directed musical, she was ready to try for a real one, which, as it turns out, could also be a golden girl as the sex of her impending baby bump has yet to be confirmed. But, the mom-to-be hopes for future pregnancies and a large family.

Hathaway has come a long way from her Princess Diary days and has made the transition to more mature roles like Love & Other Drugs and The Dark Knight Rises while juggling comedic, dramatic and musical performances.

In addition to achieving her goals of marriage, Oscar glory and an upcoming family, Hathaway will fulfill yet another lifelong dream when she begins production this summer by starring in the upcoming Judy Garland biopic Get Happy, an appropriate title for the expected mother.
