Chrissy Teigen Hits Back at Donald Trump Over "Trashy" Retweet on Her Birthday

Chrissy Teigen celebrated her 30th birthday with a nasty retweet from Donald Trump, which branded the model a "trashy gutter mouth woman." Teigen hit back at Trump on Twitter, days after another social media battle between them.

Teigen, a Sports Illustrated model and the co-host of Lip Sync Battle on Spike, also recently announced that she and her husband, John Legend, are expecting their first child.

Trump and his supporters reportedly decided to attack the model on her birthday by sending a several rude messages over Twitter.

The GOP candidate himself retweeted one of the messages, which read, "Wow! Trashy gutter mouth woman. You can't hold a candle2 @MelaniaTrump when it comes2 beauty and eloquence."

Teigen actually appeared amused by the insulting post, even calling the retweet by Trump "the greatest birthday gift ever." Outspoken Teigen immediately shot back with a funny response, reminding Trump that his wife Melania had also previously posed topless.

Melania Trump is a former fashion model who posed topless and semi-nude many times in her modeling career.

She shared Trump's retweet with a screengrab and cheekily added it was "the greatest birthday gift ever."

The 30-year-old beauty received tons of birthday greetings, with one from her singer husband, John Legend. He wrote, "Happy 30th Birthday to my beautiful, wonderful, talented, awesome wife @chrissyteigen! I love you so much and I'm so excited to start a family with you." Legend also serenaded his wife during her early birthday celebration at the Comedy Cellar on Saturday night.

Chrissy Teigen made more headlines with her tweets on Sunday, calling Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump a “tw*t” on Twitter. Trump had earlier taken to the social media platform to announce his meeting with "a large group of African American pastors" on Monday, making sure to highlight the face that it was "not a press event".
