Pier 1 Imports is hosting a Christmas pop-up shop and is paying singer Mariah Carey $300,000 to appear at the store for one hour. "Let's call it 45 minutes, a source told New York Daily News Confidential, "She specifically wanted (it noted) that she was 'appearing' not 'performing.' They would have loved her to perform but just getting her is worth it."
In addition to getting the details in writing, the newspaper says the singer also approved the final edits of the invitation, to make sure that it was properly worded and tagged, "The Queen of Christmas" at the "Pier 1 Imports: Christmas Pop-Up Storybook." The invite also states that the guests will be in attendance "with the biggest selling female recording artist of all time." The source also revealed, "She has to do nothing. Show up, wave a little, talk to a few pre-approved outlets. She's in town so why not make all the money you can?"

The "All I Want For Christmas" singer and mother of twins is also scheduled to appear at Busta Rhymes 'Hot for the Holiday Featuring Busta Rhymes & Friends' show scheduled on Dec. 5 at the Prudential Center in New Jersey.
Hip Hop Wired reported that Diddy, Mary J. Blige, Rick Ross, M.O.P., and A Tribe Called Quest will also appear in concert along with Mariah. Busta Rhymes said, "I'ma be bringing out a lot of great friends...I'm just talking about some real genuine friends that I got records with."
It is unclear whether or not the diva will be performing songs or if she is actually appearing to support the rapper. What is confirmed is that tickets went on sale in October and she's is officially on the bill. Lately, music by Mariah during the holidays seems fitting.
