'Teen Mom 2' Kailyn Lowry Medical Help On the 'The Doctors' Leads To New Bipolar Diagnosis!

Teen Mom 2 star Kailyn Lowry had a terrible season six fighting with husband Javi Marroquin all the time, but now that her married life is getting better she is trying to mentally healthier. In a shocking disclosure, the MTV star just found out that she doesn't have Bipolar Disorder after all.

In an appearance on The Doctors, Dr. Shahla Modir re-diagnosed Kailyn because she didn't fit the criteria of being Bipolar.

"She was having some mood swings and irritable, but she didn't actually meet the technical criteria for having a hypomanic episode," the MD said, via Radar Online. "So to have a diagnosis of Bipolar 2, you have to have had one depressive episode and then you need to have symptoms like an inflated grandiose mood, increased activity levels, increased energy, plus three or more symptoms from the main bipolar criteria from at least four days. In our case, Kail didn't meet that criteria."

The Love Is Bubblegum author has what's called "Bipolar Unspecified" so according to a Radar source, "She just has the potential - based on family history and personality traits she has - to develop it. Bipolar 2 is bipolar disorder."

Luckily for Kailyn, she won't have to take prescription medication to cure it, just regular visits to a therapist to monitor her situation.

"She doesn't have bipolar so she doesn't need them and she's not treating anything," the source said. "She is doing everything the psychiatrist said: She is trying to be healthy as possible and get enough sleep."

"Kailyn feels good about it," the source continued. "She thinks it is the right diagnosis."

As MStars News reported, the Love & Lowry designer new diagnosis will hopefully make her marriage to Javi even better after the two are now in a good place in their relationship.

"Javi and I don't fight like we used to," Kailyn told Radar. "And I think we kind of understand each other a lot better right now... We don't have a whole lot of drama right now and we are just trying to make things work and figure things out."
