Sunny Leone, who once ruled the adult film industry, has made a name of herself in Indian film industry by appearing in songs, feature films and commercials. The actress was recently seen in a ManForce Condom commercial, promoting safe sex among youngsters.
Dec. 1 is World AIDS day and according to DNA India, Leone, who ever since her Bollywood debut in Jism 2 has made her mark as one of the strongest endorser of condom use and safe sex in India, recently released a video with her upcoming sex-comedy Mastizaade co-stars Tusshar Kapoor and Vir Das. In the video, the team asked people to wear condoms to prevent HIV/AIDS and unplanned pregnancy.
In the 27 second video the actress and her co-stars appealed the people to use condoms and educate them about the life threatening condition that could befall them if they indulge in unprotected sex.
Leone is the brand ambassador of ManForce condoms and has always advocated the use of condoms instead of taking contraceptive oral pills. The actress was quoted by Hindustan Times as saying: "I am promoting safe sex and unwanted pregnancies. If a family isn't ready to have a baby, it's a good method of contraception as it doesn't affect a woman's health, as compared to birth control pills, which affect a woman's body, mind and hormones. I don't see it as a bad thing."
Even on her official Facebook handle, the Ek Paheli Leela star uploaded a video in which she chose to wear a proper ethnic dress which flaunted her curves. In the video, the former porn star reminded her fans about the Red Ribbon and asked everyone to get precaution with ManForce Condom as AIDS is not yet over.
