The Daily Show with Trevor Noah housed guest Nick Cannon during Tuesday night's episode, but it appears the America's Got Talent host wasn't originally scheduled to be there. It's being reported that Chris Brown was set to drop by The Daily Show but his appearance was ultimately canceled due to a number of the Comedy Central show's staffers, who objected to Brown coming on the program due to his past issues with domestic violence.
The Daily Beast reported that Brown's interview was "a cause for concern around the office." Apparently several staff members found themselves disapproving of Brown's booking, but Noah hoped to have the singer on in order to "bring light" to the issue of domestic violence.

Noah's mother, reports the Daily Mail, was a victim of domestic abuse by the comedian's former stepfather. The publication notes that he himself was threatened by his ex-stepfather back when he was a kid. Which causes many to think he may be able to have an educated conversation with Brown about the subject.
No word from Brown regarding the cancelation but he did appear on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon last week to perform "Zero" with The Roots.
Brown has been pinned together with the term "domestic violence" ever since his 2009 attack on singer, and then girlfriend, Rihanna. The Royalty artist recently put an end to that case this past March, with Judge James R. Brandlin ending his probation.
Alongside his history with domestic violence, Brown's temper has come under question in the past, specifically with a rage-filled tantrum backstage at Good Morning America. The singer reportedly tossed a chair through the window following his interview on the ABC morning program.
Which leads us to believe that the real reason The Daily Show didn't want him around was due to their less-than-ample supply of chairs.
No, not really, it was the domestic violence thing.
