A Lana Del Rey obsessed fan named Zachary Self, 19, was arrested after being found in the singer's garage of her Malibu home. Police say Rey's stalker was clearly obsessed with the "Summertime Sadness" singer, believing they have a "spiritual connection."
A construction worker at the singer's home discovered the man camping out in Rey's garage, but he fled before police arrived on the scene.
Police, who responded at around 8:20 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 30, that Self left behind several notes and a laptop, which appeared to show he believed he has a "spiritual connection" with Del Rey.
In fact, he had recently traveled from Kansas to California to meet the singer.
A detective told Entertainment Tonight, "Based on ramblings in his notes, he was clearly infatuated with Lana."
Police were able to track the garage intruder down in Santa Monica on Tuesday at a Starbucks. The 19-year-old man was arrested and is being held in jail on a $150,000 bond.
Charges against the intruder are pending. He was booked for felony burglary, allegedly because he stole one of her books.
Thankfully, the singer was not at home when the stalker was discovered. Her Malibu home is currently under construction. The alleged stalker never met or confronted her, and she was never threatened with violence.
Lana reportedly purchased the three bed, four bath beachfront property in Malibu to obtain privacy from overzealous fans.
She previously lived in the Hancock Park area of Los Angeles but had tired of fans and paparazzi camping out in her street.
Rey recently filmed the music video for her song "High By The Sea" in Malibu.
The video clearly shows Rey's feelings about the paparazzi, with her attempting to avoid being photographed. She finally has enough and blows up a helicopter with a gun she has hidden in a guitar case.
The singer last released the album Honeymoon. She can also be heard on the album, Beauty Behind the Madness, with The Weeknd.
