'NCIS' Season 13 Spoilers- Emily Wickersham Talks Ellie's Divorce From Jake

We are sure that it hasn't been easy for Emily Wickersham over the last couple of weeks, as her NCIS character of Ellie Bishop has gone through some pretty tough changes in her life. One of them being that Bishop just found out that not only was her husband having an affair, but that he also narrowly missed dying in a bombing. Yet on top of all that, her boss Gibbs, played by Mark Harmon, is still trying to deal with having been shot in season 12 finale. However, with season 13 still a long way from being over, fans are so curious to see what is in store for Bishop.

The first question that many fans might have is regarding her relationship with Jamie Bamber's character Jake Malloy, after she took an ax to her phone when he showed up on her caller id in a recent episode. With the status of their relationship very much in the balance, Entertainment Weekly made sure to ask what would happen with Bishop and Malloy relationship in the second half of the season.

"At this point, we don't know if they're going to continue or not. I feel like deep down inside, she has made a decision at the end of this episode, and I don't think they'll continue. I don't think it's just the affair that's the kicker here," Wickersham explained.

Well according to Venture Capital Post, it seems that Malloy and Bishop are very much going on their separate paths, as Wishkersham explained that when the show returns on December 15, that she will be preparing for a divorce from Bamber's character.

 "It's a big life change, going through a divorce, and that doesn't just affect Bishop in her relationship. It definitely affects her work, everything in her life," the actress explained. "I'm sure it'll take her to some dark places, maybe, and I'm sure we'll see her working through things, which is always fun for me to play."

Christian Post is also reporting on the spoilers saying that Wickersham's character isn't the only one that will be dealing with the fallout from her relationship but the rest of her team will be too.
