Deepika Padukone is currently on cloud nine after the success of her recent romantic film, Tamasha, as well as from the love she is getting from her fans for her upcoming period drama film, Bajirao Mastani. There were several recent reports that surfaced saying Padukone will star in the the musical film Aashiqui 3 along with Bollywood superstar Hrithik Roshan.
In 2013, Aditya Roy Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor's hit film Aashiqui 2 was released and the entire album from the movie became the talk of the nation. The film, which was a sequel to the 1990 film Aashiqui, became a rage because of the music, topping all the charts across the nation. According to Bollywood Hungama, the makers of the film, T-Series and Vishesh Films have claimed that the third installment in the series is going to be even bigger than the first two. There are several reports surfacing online claim that Krrish actor Roshan will apparently be cast in Aashiqui 3.
Roshan, along with Prem Ratan Dhan Payo star Sonam Kapoor, recently shot a music video on "Dheere-Dheere" from Aashiqui and many started to speculate Roshan's appearance in the song was just the foreplay from the makers. In a recent interview, when a reported asked Roshan about Aashiqui 3, the actor was quoted by NDTV Movies as responding:
"I loved him [Bhusan Kumar] as a producer. I myself have gone to him and said you have to produce a film for me. So, let him think. Give him some time."
It was also stated by many media outlets including FilmFare magazine that after wrapping for Tamasha and Bajirao Mastani, Padukone will start shooting for Aashiqui 3, but the actress recently denied the reports and confirmed that at this time she is only concentrating on her upcoming film and has not signed anymore.
Roshan is currently busy with Ashutosh Gowariker's epic period drama Mohenjo Daro which is said to be a love story. On the other hand, Padukone will soon be share screen with Ranveer Singh and Priyanka Chopra in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Bajirao Mastani.
