Drake fans on the West Coast are in for a treat. The 29-year-old rapper plays no games when it comes to building his brand – and his latest move shows us why. After introducing the OVO brand to the public and incorporating music, blogging and a clothing line, the rapper is set to open his OVO Flagship store in Los Angeles.
According to the Octobers Very Own blog, a flagship store will be opening on the West Coast very soon. The news doesn't come to much of a surprise, as Drake recently released is first womenswear line under the brand last month. The line, which has been doing very well, has already sold out of specific pieces.
The "Hotline Bling" rapper and his tour manager/close friend Oliver El-Khatib created the October's Very Own clothing brand. The line that features owl- branded pieces quickly began to spark interest with fans and fashion mavens.
According to a short video announcement, the doors of the flagship store are set to open at 11 a.m. PST on Dec. 5.
The OVO blog served as the foundation for the brand where you could stream Drake's music, keep up with his whereabouts and also introduced new artists. As Drake's popularity grew so did the site. The next natural step was to incorporate fashion on the blog, which first started as a menswear line and has now blown up.
The shop is set to be located at 130 N La Brea Ave in Los Angeles.
Drake has definitely come a long way since his "So Far Gone" days. A true visionary and incredible talent, the rapper/actor's future is looking like a very bright one.
Will any of you guys be shopping at the Los Angeles location when it opens up? Do you think the OVO brand will expand with stores? Let us know down below!
